Ameni Abida (b. 1997, Sfax) is a self-taught artist based in Abu Dhabi. She holds a degree in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University and an MA in Museum and Gallery Practice from University College London, and is currently pursuing her MFA at New York University Abu Dhabi. Having lived across Nigeria, Libya, and Saudi Arabia, her work explores identity, belonging, and the emotional landscapes shaped by movement and memory. Working across painting, drawing, and digital media, Ameni creates layered, emotive works that reflect on identity, memory, and the transient nature of home.
