Malak Mattar (b. 1999) is a Palestinian artist and children's book whose work is rooted in personal and collective experiences under the occupation. She began painting as a teenager during the 2014 Israeli assault on Gaza, turning to art as a means of survival and resistance. Her early work, created in a time of crisis, gained international attention, and she soon began exhibiting globally. In addition to her artistic practice, Mattar has also been appointed Artistic Director of Together for Palestine, the largest concert ever organised for Palestine.
